Personal injury representation across Florida
Florida is home to Kelleher Law's flagship offices. Whether you were hurt on I-75, US-41 (Tamiami Trail), or a local road in Naples, Fort Myers, Bonita Springs, or Cape Coral, our Florida team handles the investigation, the insurance carriers, and — when it's needed — the courtroom.
Florida law that affects your case
Florida generally gives injury victims two years from the date of injury to file suit, applies a modified comparative negligence rule that bars recovery if you are more than 50% at fault, and is a no-fault state for car insurance — your own Personal Injury Protection (PIP) coverage pays first, and you can pursue the at-fault driver for serious injuries. Florida juries can also award punitive damages for drunk driving and other reckless conduct.

Florida FAQs
How long do I have to file a personal injury claim in Florida?
Generally two years from the date of injury for negligence claims under Florida's current statute of limitations. Claims against government entities carry additional notice requirements, so talk to a lawyer as early as you can.
Where are your Florida offices?
We have two Florida offices — one in Naples serving Collier County and one in Fort Myers serving Lee County — covering all of Southwest Florida.
How does Florida's no-fault insurance affect my crash case?
Your own PIP coverage pays your initial medical bills and lost wages regardless of fault, but for serious injuries you can step outside the no-fault system and pursue the at-fault driver and their insurer for full damages.
Do you charge anything up front for Florida cases?
No. We work on contingency — you pay nothing unless we recover money for you, and the consultation is free.
