About Jim Kelleher
Jim Kelleher was born and raised in Buffalo, New York. He received his undergraduate education at LeMoyne College in Syracuse, New York where he played intercollegiate basketball. After receiving his degree in Political Science in 1980, he attended the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School, receiving his Juris Doctorate Degree Cum Laude in 1983.
Upon his relocation to Florida in 1996, he joined the now nationally known law firm Morgan & Morgan while it was still in its infancy. Within his first 2 years with the firm, Jim made partner and was selected as the Managing Partner of the firm's new office in Southwest Florida in 2002. Under his guidance, the office grew to become one of the most successful in the firm. Jim thereafter started 3 other offices from scratch in Atlanta, Savannah and Columbus, Georgia and built those into multi-million dollar operations. In addition to serving as the Managing Partner of the firm's operations in Southwest Florida and for the entire State of Georgia, Jim also served on the firm's Executive Committee for over 20 years.
In 2017, Jim left Morgan and started Kelleher Law. Three of his four children have become lawyers — and the one who didn't married a lawyer. They all now practice together at Kelleher Law, with offices in Naples, Fort Myers and Buffalo.
Jim is currently licensed to practice law in Florida, Georgia and New York. He has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who among Trial Lawyers, selected as a Top 100 Trial Lawyer for 10 straight years by the National Trial Lawyers Association, named one of the Ten Best Attorneys in Florida by the American Institute of Personal Injury Attorneys, is a Fellow of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), has been honored by the Lawyers of Distinction for Excellence in the area of Personal Injury Litigation, and was recently named the Top Personal Injury Lawyer by Naples Illustrated Magazine.
Jim is a Trustee of the Gregorian University Foundation in Rome, Italy, and a member of the Board of Trustees of Ave Maria Law School.
